Peter Capaldi

As with other actors who play the Doctor, Peter Capaldi is leaving after only three years and the Doctor. This seems to be a trend. Playing the Doctor is something which does take allot your time. From everything Peter says is that the time needed to make the shows is long and very exhausting. It does take time to make a good show and I am guessing with working on Doctor Who there is not much time to do anything else.

In an interview on Graham Norton, he said that he is leaving because he feels that he may be able to do his best. I agree that an actor or actress give there job 100%. This is something every man and woman should understand. I know when I work my desire is to give my job all I have. With Doctor Who, the long hours and all the effort needed for the show it wears the actors down. Every job does drain you. I really don’t know and can’t not imagine how much effort is needed. I know it may sound selfish, but I want Capaldi back for at least one more season. This of course is the same feelings I have for all actors who play the Doctor.

I believe Capaldi does a great job as the Doctor. There is so much I see when watching Capaldi as the Doctor and I know there is so much more I want to see. Every Doctor has their moments and Capaldi has some good ones. I really think I am not the only one who wants more episodes with Capaldi as the Doctor. Capaldi had some times where the companion is the center of attention and I think that he handles it very well. The shows are not as good as the rest but they are Doctor Who.

I am thankful for every actor who plays the Doctor. Capaldi’s time as the Doctor follows the same time all Doctors but Tom Baker. This is a time frame which was basically set by Patrick Troughton and most all have followed suit. I may not like but I guess I need to get use to this as it seems like that the way things are.
