Past Companions

Every fan of Doctor Who has one companion they love, and they will enjoy the return of that companion. Well, according to this article from Radio Times, Chris Chibnall has the same idea. The truth here is most if not all past companions were great. Whovians love them, and it was hard to see them go.

Of course, Adric cannot return because he died helping the Doctor defeat the Cybermen. Then are others who we will not see again because they are no longer with us. Sarah Jane is one of them. She and Harry did a great job in the early 70s as the Doctor’s companions. How good would it be to see them with the 13th Doctor?

Bringing back Amy and Rory, Tegan, Peri, Jo Grant, Ace, or Nyssa is a great idea. Bringing back any past companions is a great idea. The companions are an integral part of Doctor Who. When Doctor Who began in 1963, he is not alone. Before Ian and Barbara stowed away, the Doctor”s daughter Susan traveled with him from his home planet. So, fans see him with a companion or companions.

Each fan has their favorites, so each of them wants to see a different companion come back for at least one episode. But the idea is a good one, and maybe Chibnall can make this happen. As stated earlier, there some companions who we will never see again. But, that should not stop Chibnall from trying to bring them back.

How will this change things for Doctor Who? It is something which can boost the popularity with older fans maybe? Who knows, but it does have some merit. It was great to see Captain Jack again. How great would it be to some of the other companions? And if you want an older companion to return, who would it be?
