Masterful Return

The last memory fans have of the Master was Missy and the prior incarnation killing each other. So, most fans were not looking for what takes place in Spyfall. As a fan, you look for something to ring you back to the past. Every fan knows the Master and has his or her favorite. So, why bring him back in the way Chris Chibnall does? Fans might deem this a masterful return for the Doctor’s old friend and enemy.

Fans waited longer than usual for the return of Doctor Who. Therefore, it better be as good or better than the prior year. As you watch Spyfall, it has a different feeling with all its integral parts. The James Bond-like feel about it. The Doctor and the cast of the show wear tuxedos and look fabulous. The actual movement through the plot, as well as, everything involved blows people away. At least, that can be one perspective.

The way all these parts lead to the reveal of the villain is something amazing. As you watch the show, you never know what is going own. You think it all revolves around the CEO, Daniel Barton. While checking things out, they find his DNA is only 97 percent human. So, you figure he is part of the plan and what is happening. But then, the Doctor tries to find the root of the problem. At this point, she finds an old friend from MI6 by the name of O.

Here where things get interesting! As you watch this part of the episode, O does give her clues as to who he is. But the Doctor does not catch so quickly. She seems to be a step behind. Of course, fans know the Master is a master of disguise. Which can lead to difficulty in seeing it is him at the root of the problem.

Well, in the end, fans see a masterful return of the Doctor’s oldest friend and enemy. Fans had to be surprised when O reveals he is the Master. The Doctor was surprised at the revelation as she should be, because of the masterful disguise.
