The Return of Doctor Mysterio
Well, today is the big day! The Return of Doctor Mysterio is airing tonight on BbC America at 8 pm. Doctor Who returns for the first time since seeing the Doctor and Clara in the cafe in the desert, which left us asking what is going on. From my perspective the little mind wiping thing he was trying to do on Clara actually took place on him.
The wait is too long and I am so looking forward to the show tonight. I am going to be sure that I am in front of the television at 8 pm tonight. I am waiting and I am even more excited since it is airing on Christmas day as Steven Moffat wants. This is a change I believe because here in the US I think the last few specials did not air until after Christmas day.
From all I have read, this is going to be a great program. I like the fact that Moffat brings the idea of a superhero into The Return of Doctor Mysterio. This is a great idea. I do believe everyone I know and don’t know is always looking for a hero. In the case of The Return of Doctor Mysterio, the superhero is the Ghost. From all I can find, he like Superman. This of course means he flies and even has x-ray vision. All I can say is wow, bring it on. I am so ready for this.
I am so hoping for this to be a great program from Moffat. He did a great job on all the episodes and stories he has produced and look for nothing less than his best. This story should be interesting and be a great program for adults and children. Anyone who likes superheros should love this story.
Because it is set in New York, I can see where this is to mimic Metropolis. But at the same time Moffat leaves the name as New York. How much the better can this be in that there is a reporter on the show. Therefore somewhat of a mimic of Superman as well. Everyone knows that Clark Kent along with Lois Lane are reporters for the Daily. Therefore he adds some intrigue to the story.
The Return of Doctor Mysterio is to a change of pace for Doctor Who. In most case the Doctor can be seen as a hero when he helps a race of people or a planet. But in this one the Doctor actually meets a real live superhero named the Ghost.
What I am looking forward to is another great program from Moffat, and then to move on to the release of the first stories of season 10. This is just the starter and the time between now and when the release of season 10 takes place is too long.
