Surprises

Surprises

Surprises is exactly what we get in the first episode of the season finale of Doctor Who. There are several throughout the show that catch my eye. These also raise my interest. Of all the stories which aired so far I can sa this one is the best. I can say this and even relate to the fact that it brings back old school Doctor Who.

This is the first time I see the Mondasian Cybermen, because I have not seen The Tenth Planet from 1966. Which is one of the stories missing episodes. So, I don’t know how many whovians have seen that story. Until Steven Moffat did this story all any could see is pictures of the Mondasian Cybermen.

Ok, everyone who reads Facebook or any website news site, knows that John Simm is returning as the incarnation of the Doctor’s oldest enemy and friend. What is transpiring in this episode and the next really interesting. The way everything moves in this episode really surprises me as I watch it. The Doctor, Bill, and Nardol land on this spaceship and to their surprise there is not one person on it. Then they meet this Blue man and he says that Bill is the reason they are coming to the bridge of the 400 mile long spaceship. Well, what happens is a surprise. This blue man shoots Bill and basically kills her. Well not exactly but close enough.

Well, the surprises continue to come. What we see is something I did not think I will see. The hole in Bill’s chest is gets fixed by the people who own the spaceship. Which basically begins her transformation. There is some time which passes before we see the final stage of the transformation. The first time we see Bill she is pushing an IV bottle around and this weird looking man is following her around. From here all I can say is wait for it. Another surprise comes when the man pulls off a mask and reveals himself as the Master.

The story continues and the last surprise comes when the first Mondasian Cyberman comes out. The biggest surprise for me is the fact that it is a fully modify Bill. Then as the story ends we see Bill crying because she thinks the Doctor has lied to her.
