South Africa
As a fan, you think the production and filming of Doctor Who takes place in the UK. Well, some of us may be in for a surprise, but then again maybe not. In the article by Huw Fullerton, explains one story was shot in South Africa. Of Course, this is not the first time for Doctor Who to shoot outside of the UK and most likely won’t be the last.
The idea of shooting Doctor Who around the world is cool don’t you think? Of course, it is cool, for Whovians at least. I would find a way to get to see them. That is if they are near where I live. Why wouldn’t it be cool for Doctor Who to film other places? Jodies said she enjoyed working in Cape Town, South Africa. And why wouldn’t she?
Jodie may have told all of this because of the BBC wanting the fans to know a little something about Season 11. I mean they have not been very forthcoming on what is going on. They are keeping a tight lid on everything. Keeping fans in the dark about the new season and even making some fans perturbed.
As far as what fans expect, there is a mixed bag. There are the fans who believe everything will be okay. But on the other side, there are the fans who feel like it will won’t be okay. Well, in either case, they are judging before seeing anything. Who knows, Whittaker may be an exciting Doctor and Chibnall the best producer we have ever seen. You have to realize that is hypothetical because of my lack of knowledge of both people.
It is a great thing Doctor Who films around the world. Fans around the globe one day may see the cast and crew working. I promise if they ever come near where I live I will find them. Whether I get in or not is another thing, but it will be worth a try.
