Here is announcement which I personally love. Big Finish is producing more Fourth Doctor audio books. What great news for not only me but for other whovians. With the way this show changes Doctors, this is a pleasant surprise. Truly, I can look forward to possibly owning these. Because I miss the Fourth Doctor this give me a way to at least hear him again.
The use of the Fourth Doctor does point to his popularity with whovians around the world. Therefore, the making of more Fourth Doctor audiobooks is amazing. I look forward to their release this coming January 2018.(1) But I am sure I am not the only one looking forward to this release.
I believe this something they are doing as a continuation of Doctor Who and the Fourth Doctor. Consequently, the Fourth Doctor still lives in the hearts of the Doctor Who fans. Hey, I do wish that Tom Baker is still the Doctor, but everything must come to an end. But the thing I like is that Big Finish can still write and produce audiobooks with whichever Doctor they wish.
In these two sets, they feature the Doctor (Tom Baker), Leela (Louise Jameson), and K9 (John Leeson). I so remember watching the stories with these three in them. Those to me are some of the best there is for the program.(2)
The first series 7A consists of Episode One by Andrew Smith, The Crowmarsh Experiment by David Llewellyn, and The Mind-Runners / The Demon Rises by John Dorney; May sees the release of Series 7B, with The Shadow of London by Justin Richards, Episode Six by Dan Starkey, and Kill The Doctor! / Episode Eight by Guy Adams.(3)
Those who do digital downloads will be able to purchase the episodes individually. If you want to pre-order these sets, just go to the Big Finish website for full details. From what I understand there may be a discount available.(3) As a result, it makes it more enticing.
These will be a continuation of some sorts. Although Season 6 has Romana as the companion. Season 6 will also have K9. Season 6 will be available in January. There will be a total of nine episodes in Season 6.
I will say again that to production of audiobooksb Big Finish is an awesome thing. Doctor Who fans can hear their favorite television show on cd or digitally. Therefore, they can have more Fourth Doctor for the next two years.
