Lethbridge-Stewart

Here is some great news for Doctor Who fans. Publisher Candy Jar Books says they are publishing a Lethbridge-Stewart Story Collection. This article tells us all about it. Of Course, this is a big deal for classic Whovians, because he was a reoccurring character for several years. He is mostly remembered from the Doctor’s exile on Earth but returned several more times after he could travel again.

This collection will be great for Doctor Who fans. Especially those who are big fans of Alistar Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart. Candy Jar Books has offered aspiring writers and fans a chance to pen their own chapter in the short stories. So, this will be in one sense fan based writing. This is cool and could make the stories really real, at least for the writers.

You fans who live in the UK may be able to have a part in these stories and use your imagination to pen some outstanding stories about our favorite Brigadier General. I know he was one of m favorite characters on Doctor Who during Jon Pertwee’s reign as the Doctor. There were times it seems as though he kept the Doctor in order, but he really did not have any control over the Doctor. At least as much control as the Doctor allowed him to have.

The book will feature eight stories and are as follows:

Shadows in the Glen by Richard Brewer
The Friendship Paradox by Thomas Firth
Special Responsibility by Gary Tinnams
Soldier in Time by Martin Gregory
The Man with the Red Case by Matthew Ball
The Brigadier Rides Again by Ross Hastings
In Machina Exspiravit by Anthony Robertson
Burning Daylight by Paul Chase

There are times when he is clueless and requires the Doctor’s help to deal with a problem. But then again there are times he is a great help for the Doctor. He and the Doctor worked well together and made the show better.

It is great that he is getting his own set of stories, after all, he is a great character from Doctor Who. Too bad he left the show and only returned briefly in some episodes.

Classic Whovians rejoice, nuwho get to know this great man by buying the book once it is available. The will only make his character even better and more exciting.
