David Tennant
Wow, where can I start. Most of the actors who play the Doctor are more or less known just for that. They usually do not have other areas of acting which are as well known as Doctor Who. Okay, that statement may not be that true, but for the most part it is. Therefore, I hope to bring some new knowledge to me and anyone who reads this post. It also may take more than one post to do this. So, don’t be surprised if there is a part two or even part three.
I knew from the beginning that he is from Scotland. He does not have that strong of a Scottish accent, but when called upon to do that he can. His real name is David John MacDonald. He is born in Bathgate, West Lothianon April 18, 1971.(1)
While he still in secondary school David Tennant makes his debut. I did not know this until I did some research. From this information, I gather that acting is something this man wants to do from a young age. I know that it is not as young as some but it is rather young. I can also see how starting at a young age can benefit someone. Now, there are child actors who after they grow up are not as popular or not as wanted for roles. This of course is part of the business and it is sad. In the case of David Tennant, I can see where starting early but not as child has benefited him.
Now, the debut in David Tennant’s case is not that glamorous. Therefore, acting in a anti-smoking film as a debut is not exactly the biggest and maybe the best way to get started either.(2) Bur my standpoint on this does not matter. Acting is something he wants and because of this he gets his start. I suppose if I am him and I am ask to do the film, I say yes. As a result of sayin yes, it starts a journey.
Tennant has many roles from his first professional role until his casting as the Doctor for Doctor Who. There are a number acting jobs which he has and I really wish I am there to see them. Some are television roles, others are theatrical roles, and then there are movies. Personally, I cannot give much as really want as far as a critique of his early work because I did not see them. I really series when I say busy. There are nineteen roles he plays during the time following his graduation from drama school.
All of them range from television, theater, and movies. To be honest, I did not see any of them. The only one I had a chance and can still see is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. To me I really don’t think it matters what he stars in or plays a role not as the star, David Tennant is a great actor. When he does a role you get his best and that makes the show better. Remember this about actors, if they are good they will have a number of roles and when they play a part it is or close to their best not their second best.
