As a Doctor Who fan, I have come to the realization that changing of the guard is inevitable. For the program to be over fifty years old there has to be some change every now and then. After hearing that Steven Moffat was not returning for season eleven, I was shocked. Now, I really should not be but I am.
Some people may ask me why I am shocked about this. They will say to me you know things are always influx with Doctor Who. All you have to do is look at all the changes made since 1963. You see there are 12 different actors who have been the Doctor. That is not even counting John Hurt who plays the war Doctor. When you count him it makes thirteen. At the same time I can not leave out Peter Cushing who plays the Doctor in the movies from the sixties. That will make fourteen actors.
Along with so many different Doctors, you have many different companions. They seem to change more than the Doctor. As a result, there are many more companions than Doctors. Each Doctor seems to have any where from three to four companions maybe more. I know for a fact that Jon Pertwee’s Doctor has three, but the first Doctor has at least five maybe more. So the influx of companions really make the show change allot.
Then you look at the different place that the Doctor travels. Outside of the Third Doctor who is not able to travel for half of his reign. So, he did not see as many places as the others. These places are always great and wonderful. The Doctor meets all different types of aliens and races of people. This is always awesome and very interesting. These are to people that he helps. He is always trying to right wrongs and help people out.
The TARDIS looks different every time a new Doctor comes in. This is a change which is the easiest to take. The hard one is always the Doctor. Every time I get use to a Doctor, the actor playing that Doctor decides to leave the show. At times it makes me mad, but I need to understand that things happen. I am okay with change as long as it is good for the show. There are times when the change is very good and then the change is bad. But
