Bashing
For some people and fans, they don’t like the idea of having a female Doctor. Many of them are very vocal about it. The BBC had to know some fans were not going to like the idea but did they some fans bashing them and Jodie? Alright, let’s change that from people who are bashing the BBC and the idea of a female Doctor.
There are things which change as time moves on and females playing lead roles is one. Doctor Who isn’t the only to use a female lead. There are others and much earlier than now. The BBC seems to have a problem with casting white males. Not sure about this but there is some article pointing this out. But this does not mean you bash the idea of a female Doctor.
What is sad is these fans love Doctor Who and now will not watch because he became a she. Yeah, the Doctor has been a man for twelve Doctors, but does that mean they can’t change gender? The fans who do not like the idea say he has always been a man. Why change the character now? They like having a man as the Doctor and can’t see him as a female.
Most people would figure that this kind of racism would not be around anymore. But sadly, this is a problem even today. Just because someone is not a man or even a different color, or ethnicity does not mean you have the right to bash them. Many people think the world should be past color, creed, and cultural differences. But with all the hate videos as well as articles one has to wonder.
Just because of a difference of skin color, gender, or any other reason for the hate, does not make it right to bash females, a race of people, or culture. People need to grow up and smell the roses. We live in a world which has males and females, gays and lesbians, all different kinds of races, different skin colors, and different cultures. All of this hatred is not worth the pain it inflicts.
There are better ways to express an opinion. People need to do it in a more civilized way, but that is not human nature. People like to inflict pain and make others mad because of their shortcomings or envy.
Fans, the Doctor is Jodie Whittaker, and yes she is a female. All the complaining and bashing will not change that. Fans need to wait and see what they will get on the screen. No one knows what they will see and trying change things is futile. Why can’t everyone just be excited as we move into a new era of Doctor Who?
People won’t know how things are going to be until they watch the first episode. Yeah, there are going to be duds, because no matter how good a showrunner and production crew or writers are. There will be a few failures. All the fans can ask is that whoever is running the show gives their best as does the cast and production crew.
