60th Anniversary

Okay, David Tennant has already let everyone know he might be willing to be in the 60th Anniversary Special. As fans, we want to see new and innovative things from Doctor Who. Well, in this article, there is one former Doctor who might return just for a 60th. Now, the special will only happen if Chibnall decides to do one and if he is still the man in charge. Who know five years from now where we will be with Doctor Who?

Things change as everyone knows. And when we look at the last two showrunners, one stayed for five or six seasons and then the other for five seasons.  So, if Chibnall is the showrunner, it will be his choice to do a 60th Anniversary special. Of course, that depends on if he is still in charge.

Well, just thinking about such a special brings excitement. The reason is the possibility of having multiple Doctors on the television screen. Since the beginning of Doctor Who, there have been three such anniversary specials, The Three Doctors, The Five Doctors, and The Day of the Doctor.

Anniversary specials are a big part of Doctor Who, so there isn’t any reason they won’t make a 60th Anniversary special when the time comes.

Who will be in it and what will we see?

There are some questions to be answered on the subject though. The first is which of the Nu WHo Doctors will agree to be in it. We already know two may return under the right circumstances. Those are David Tennant and Matt Smith. After Eccleston did do the 50th, it fair to say he will not return, but Peter Capaldi has also said does want to do anymore Who. But then a special of this size may change his mind. Then, of course, we will have Jodie and maybe the Fourteenth Doctor as well. What a star-studded cast it will be.

As far as the story, it can be any number of storylines. With the history of Doctor and all the enemies and places, he has traveled. There are limitless possibilities. Only the writer of the show will know what he or she wants us to see.

In conclusion, yes as a fan I want a 60th Anniversary special. I want to be thrilled and excited as I watch it. I want to be able to be surprised at what happens as well as overjoyed when the Doctor wins the Day. Whovians everywhere can hardly wait for this special, and it is five years away.
