Can you believe it? What I mean is that there has been four Doctors since the revival of the program. The Complete Eighth season brings this reaction, here we go again another Doctor has died and regenerated. I personally am truly worried because the last words the Doctor says to Clara is ” would you happen to know how to fly this thing?” Man, that does not give me much confidence in his ability to take the TARDIS where it needs to go.
Well, that aside, this is the complete eighth season. The Doctor is now Peter Capaldi and Clara is his companion. As with all other actors who play the Doctor, he brings is own nuances to the role. I have seen the majority of the stories for Peter Capaldi and I like what he brings to the eighth season of Doctor Who. Honestly speaking he is very mean to Clara, but there is some retaliation on the Doctor’s part. Clara is not an angel here. I am not saying she deserves the treatment, but you get what you give.
With the Complete Eighth Season of Doctor Who you will get all twelve episodes. The first one is Deep Breathe and is the first full episode for the new Doctor. Clara of course is there and was also traveling with Matt Smith’s Doctor. This regeneration almost does not happen. The moment that Matt Smith’s Doctor is dying, Clara know that it is over and that the Doctor will not regenerate. Therefore out of what seems desperation, Clara ask the Time Lords to give the Doctor twelve more lives. Well, you guessed it, they do.
Consequently what we get is a rocker and sometimes rather harsh Doctor. Therefore there are times when you wonder if he cares or not about other people and species. Well, in the end it is the same Doctor who is always willing to help right a wrong and help those in trouble.
At the end of the day, if you are a Doctor Who junky this is a must have set. I personally wish I had the money to buy it because I love the show so much, but I do not.
