Season 11
Season 11 is not that far away and there are a few things I know. The production crew will have a new boss, Chris Chibnall. Now, as far the directors and producers other than Chibnall. Things may be the same. This is a change which can be good for Doctor Who and then it may not be good. The hope of me and I am sure other Whovians are hoping for it to be good. I believe there are some who think it is a good thing that Steven Moffat is leaving, but not good that Peter Capaldi is. I say this because many fans of the show say that he is not used in a way that makes him his best.
Steven Moffat’s time as the showrunner is not what I can call the best. The best for Doctor Who with the revived series is when David Tennant is the Doctor. Matt Smith is a good Doctor and Peter Capaldi is good, but neither of them are great. Now, some of that can be due to the writing and producing of the show. Outside of Doctor Who I am not that familiar with either one of these actors. Then there is the companions, I can say they were okay. I am a big fan and I am watching the show no matter what.
I am actually looking forward to season 11 because there is change coming. Capaldi is good, but his time as the Doctor could be better had they not done certain things. And I believe that he is leaving because of uncertainty with Chibnall as the new showrunner. I may be wrong, but if not that there is something else. A changing of the guard with Doctor Who is good and something which happens quite regularly.
There is great anticipation on my part to see what Chibnall will bring to the show. Season 11 could be one of the best yet, but noone really knows yet because of all the different changes. I have not seen anything on whether Bill is returning or not, but the BBC wants a new start, and would like to see Bill back but if that is not in the cards oh well. I know this is a little early for this but I really don’t care. I’m ready for the new guys to start to see if things will get better. This sounds critical of the show, but there are always changes to make the show better.
Season 11 will not air until 2018, so just look up and watch Season 10 and hope that Season 11 get here quickly.
