Lucky

Jodie Whittaker says, “How lucky am I to play this role” in an interview with Doctor Who Magazine.(1) Huw Fullerton reveals this in this article. This discovery tells fans the greatness of having the role of the Doctor. As fans, everyone wishes one day to be the Doctor, or maybe that is just a thought of this fan.

Anyone who loves Doctor Who would feel lucky to be cast as their favorite TimeLord. Whether Whittaker was a fan of Doctor Who beforehand is unclear, but as we know many times the person is a big fan.

Whittaker feels this way because she says, “There is no other job in the world like this, where you can see so many different worlds, meet such amazing characters and speak such extraordinary dialogue.”(2)

This role seems to be blowing her away. It is a role she never saw herself playing. It is better and much different from anything else she has done.

She added: “It’s never going to feel like [other jobs] because it’s this job and it’s amazing. It’s a world away from any part I’ve played before.”(3)

There is controversy around the casting of a female Doctor. Many fans said they aren’t going to watch Doctor Who again, but why can’t they give this a chance. No one knows how this is going to work until they see it.

The actress cast as the Doctor feels lucky to be the Doctor. So, why would she do well? Jodie needs fans to give her a chance to prove herself. She doesn’t feel like she deserves the role. She seems to be very humble. Which is great, right?

Being the Doctor can be overwhelming, because of the number of fans and the reach of the show. Anyone who is the Doctor should feel as Jodie does. Lucky to have the role of the Doctor.
