John Simm

John Simm just like disappears after The End of Time. This of course being the last time David plays the Doctor and the last story for Russell T Davies. Then we don’t see the Master til Missy appears in what she calls heaven. I wonder where the regeneration for the Master is. Usually a Time Lord regenerates, but most Doctor Who fans already know that the Master no longer has any regenerations.

Well, I like this because maybe we get some light shed on the John Simm Master. Steven Moffat just takes us to Missy without any change on screen. I know that it is television and they can do what they want, but I personally want something explaining this. I mean why bring back the Master as Missy without showing the regeneration.

Then from what I have read, Missy will be there and the Master as well. Now, I know this is not new to Doctor Who. There are a few stories that have three, five, two and even all 13. It does bring up some very deep questions as to why Moffat is doing this. It also raise the question when you know which story this happens as to what is Moffat really doing. I have wrote about the old school influence on series 10 already, so I ask what is the deeper meaning of all of this.

There are references through youtube that there is more old school pieces than just the Mondasian Cybermen and the Fourth Doctors sonic screwdriver. I will have another post which I will describe as a spoiler alert. It is very spoiler filled and after watching it I cannot wait for Season 10 to start. My hope for Doctor Who in this new series is that is get back some of the who leave the show because it is companion focused rather Doctor focused.

We are just one week away from the new series and the anticipation is growing, or at least for me. I see this as great thing to bring back a Master from the past, I just hope it lives up to the hype.
