Changes

If anyone is resistant to changes, I can say I am one of those people. I always think, if it not broken why change it. Well, I think the BBC wants change, because things seem to be broke. For me, outside of this season the last two season with Peter Capaldi are not the best. There are change which need to be made. What these will be I cannot say but I read an article yesterday which made hints as to what they could be.

Chris Chibnall will take over after the Christmas Special as Doctor Who showrunner. The article hints at some changes Chibnall may make to the show. One deals with having a new monster every week. (1) I did not realize this is something which Steven Moffat did over the eight years he is the showrunner for Doctor Who. But after looking at it I can see this to be true.

As a fan, I can see that most story arc only last for maybe three or four episodes and Moffat ends them. Chibnall on the other hand is looking to possibly have the same story arc for all twelve episodes. (2) This is suppose to be something good. I feel it can very well be good. If you remember, Russel Davies used Bad Wolf for almost two whole seasons. So, yeah this can be good. I am not making a judgment on this yet because I will not know for sure until I actually watch the stories.

I am looking forward to the new era of Doctor Who and I think there needs to be changes and from all I hear Chibnall is the man for that to make the changes. Doctor Who is Doctor Who and for me no matter who is in charge I am going to watch it. I will just wait and see if the changes are good.
