Brilliant

Brilliant, what a great word. The word is an expression of amazement and complete enjoyment of what you see. The word was one which another incarnation used. In this article, Paul Jones tells us how BBC America posted something on Instagram with both the Tenth and Thirteenth Doctors using this word.

After watching the regeneration of the Twelfth Doctor, brilliant was the first word uttered by the Thirteenth Doctor. The word is an all too familiar expression of delight by the Tenth Doctor.

Many of the Whovians are having a problem deciding if the Thirteenth Doctor is the same as the previous versions. Some fans are not happy the new Doctor is female. As fans, they don’t want to watch with a female lead. As a result, BBC America posted a gif with Jodie and David saying the same word.

The use of this word proves or should prove Jodie’s Doctor is the same as previous versions. There is going to be some growing pains, but with the right scripts and proper production, the show will work well.

We as fans have right to our opinions. Therefore, if someone chooses not watch because they believe the Doctor should be a man then don’t. This fan will watch and wait to pass judgment until after watching the new Doctor.

Bring on season 11, and let’s all get behind Jodie and wish her the best. Some of you fans don’t know what you are getting. Therefore, wait until the first episode to judge whether you like it or not. The Doctor is the Doctor. The same Time Lord as the one we find in the junkyard.

Whether any of you Whovians know it or not John Nathan-Turner flirted with having a female as the Doctor after Tom Baker decided to leave. Of course, this makes one wonder how people would have reacted in 1981.  Who knows had this have happened then? Things would be different for sure. We don’t know how things would have changed.
