Witchfinders

Of all the places the Doctor could go, she and her companions land in England during the reign of King James. Where the Doctor uses the title of Witchfinders and gains control of the situation. From the start, everything seems a little strange and out of time and place.
The story brings fans a new monster which is different from anything they have seen before. The Morax which was imprisoned in the ground by a tree is now free because of Becka Savage cutting down this tree. They use her to kill 35 people for being witches with the idea of possessing their bodies to take over the earth. Now, where have fans seen this before?
The story is interesting, but some fans may ask if this is history? Well, the team does materialize in England around the time of the translation of the Bible in the King’s English. Then from out of nowhere, the King James appears played by Alan Cumming. But fans see a masked figure following the team who will eventually reveal himself. Then everyone will know the stranger is King James.
Savage would condemn people for witchcraft and them by dunking would kill them. She would say if you survive the dunking you are guilty of being a witch and if you die you are innocent. This is ridiculous in that who knows if a person can cast a spell to get out of the chains. Well, in the end, the Doctor is tied to the dunking post made from the tree  Savage cut down. She escapes and prevails over the Morax.
The is a good episode because fans see another new monster. Then for some may have been either to slow or not long enough to delve into the origins of the Morax. The acting continues to be good, but the Doctor seems to talk too much for some fans. Well, that is what to expect from the main character. SHe is the center of attention and should speak more than the rest. She also takes the sexist attitude very well.
The coolest part of this episode is the fact King James makes an appearance and takes on the role of a witchfinder. Then makes Graham head of all of this mess. In the end, it is a wonderful show and worth watching again for some.
