Waiting

Waiting is something I personally have a problem with when it comes to Doctor Who. I absolutely love seeing new stories. I personally do not care if the writing or anything else is good or bad, and I truly love the show and that really does not play a part. Over the years there has great, good, and bad stories. I remain a fan even after the show was cancelled in 1989.

It seems since its return there are times when there is a pause. I think back to David Tennant’s last year. He only did special episodes during what would have been his fourth year. Then there is a wait. Of course, I understand that a change in showrunner and cast may have been the cause of this. Changing all parts of the cast and production crew can cause some problems. There is a need to get everyone together and on the same page. But the wait in between for me is gut wrenching.

The only thing I can do is be patient and wait until Christmas. Then I read that season 11 has been moved back a few months. Once again Whovians will wait to see the new series. According to this article, the start date for Season 11 will late 2018. Onca again we have to wait for new Doctor Who. This time it is with a whole new cast and crew. My hope here is that the wait is worth it. I am really looking forward to seeing Jodie Whittaker as the new Doctor as well what changes Chris Chibnall has for fans.

The article also says misery for Doctor Who fans. This is so true not just for me I am sure. I hate going without new stories, but there is not anything I or any other fan do. Sometimes I do wish I could change things but I can’t. I can complain, but that won’t change anything, right.
