Pilot
The Pilot is really like a pilot for a new television program. There are many changes in the whole outlay of Doctor Who, or at least for me it is. Before I see The Pilot, I am not expecting it to be set at a university, nor do I expect the Doctor to be a professor. Well, ok I am a little dense at times and I should have guessed that is what is coming. All the videos and trailers and then Bill talking about him being a professor. That is not a surprise to some I know, if the figure that much out.
Now for me the Pilot was a little different from the norm for me. Now, some other people may not see it that way and that is fine. Everyone has their own opinion about these things. What I can say though is that it is very interesting and that I really like they way the did it. I do remember that the Doctor is the car taker at Coal Hill School, but I personally can’t remember him being a Professor. But then I have not seen all serials and episodes of the show.
I believe from my first look at Bill that she is going to be good for the show. I like Bill and I think most Doctor Who fans will as well. She is a bit naive and that is good. She has no idea of what is going to happen. The Doctor really does not want her to know anything, but he does show her the amazing things in the universe. Although it is only a very small bit, he does. He takes her to end of the time, and back again. They face the Daleks and then the new monster which I did not catch the name of it. The new monster is strange and actually takes over the girl who Bill befriends in the cafe she works.
What I can say about the opening show is one which raises my interest in what is coming this year. SO, I am ready to strap myself down and sit in front of the telly and watch some new Doctor Who every Saturday night or at least record it and watch on my day off. I hope that the show meets my expectations and each episodes builds on the next one.
