Negativity
Where to start? Well, there is another question as well. Why is there so much negativity about Jodie Whittaker? Yeah, there are things about her fans do not like, but isn’t that the case for all the previous Doctors? There is a little something about every Doctor fans did not like. There is not one of them perfect by any means, so why does Jodie continue to get bashed?
Admittedly not everything has been great, but history proves every actor and production crew has made mistakes. The stories for season 11 have been good, and easy to follow. There haven’t been any complicated plots. Fans gave met some new villains as well as new people. Chris Chibnall and his crew have brought new energy to Doctor Who. There are new viewers because of these changes.
Okay, yeah the changes may be a bit much for some older fans. They know and understand change is a part of Doctor Who but would prefer the changes be spread out. Meaning to make them in smaller increments. Okay, you know that may work, but the BBC wasn’t looking for that. It seems their whole idea was to make over the top change. The wanted to shake things up, and that is what they did.
The negativity is something which the BBC probably knew would come, but they moved forward with their plan. They most likely thought they would gain more new viewers than they would lose. Is that the case?
You know everyone is different. So, everyone will see the changes in a different way. Yes, some like all the changes while others downright hate them. There isn’t any reason to bash other fans for their opinions. And we should not try to change others views either. We are all Doctor Who fans and yes there will be differences. So, can’t we get along? Is that too much to ask?
Apparently, for some, they want to change the minds of others. Well, everyone has a right to feel the way they do. Therefore, there isn’t any reason to try to change it. Some fans need some time, while others don’t. Therefore, leave it alone. Neither side is going to change the views of the other by either being positive or negative.
