Lost Faith

Christopher Eccleston as of late has come forward expressing dissatisfaction about leaving Doctor Who. Well, no there is even more. According to this article from Radio Times, Eccleston lost faith, trust, as well as belief in his bosses. This news makes it seem as if Eccleston wasn’t going to stay past the first season either way.

Just a few days ago an article came out where Eccleston accused the BBC of blacklisting him. Therefore, he was not able to work in the UK. Now, here’s a different article and we see even more negative information. I don’t know what happened and all we have to do on is what we read.

The words spoken by Eccelston could be out of anger. It seems to me there was a lot of negative things which happen during the first season while Eccleston was the Doctor. At least for Eccleston is seems that way. For him to believe he was blacklisted and then to say any, the relationship he had with his bosses to disintegrate does not make any sense. What happened on the set to cause the breakdown?

After he speaks about this, we may see why he leaves after the first season, but why do you come out all these years later and tell this story. I don’t know why. I am not going to try and work all this out. There seems to be a lot going on with this situation. Whatever it is, in the end, Eccleston lost faith and trust in RTD and other members of the production leaders.

Truth be known, it could have just been Eccleston and then again maybe not. The article even says that RTD lost faith and trust in Eccleston. Now, I wonder how both sides lose faith and trust? There is a lot to comprehend. I don’t know what all happened and this is only one side of the story. How can we as fans judge this anyway? As fans, we can take sides by listening to just one side but why would we do that?

I would love to hear the other side and see what they say. All of what happens is most likely the reason Eccleston is not apart of the 50th Anniversary special. He was still upset and did not want to revisit a painful situation.

Of course, this means he will most like not be in any out Doctor Who story. For some fans that will hurt because he is their favorite. But we can’t help what happened and don’t know the whole story. Well, Doctor Who is still here and whether Eccleston comes back or not doesn’t matter. We as fans have a new Doctor as well as a new showrunner. Let’s look forward to new and better things.
