Doctor Falling
The Doctor falling seems to me to be a metaphor of something which is going to happen to the Doctor. Now, as long as I have been watching the Doctor, there are sometimes where he falls. Once I remember it was the end of an era. That is Tom Baker leaving the show and he regenerates into Peter Davidson. Which turns out ok for the show. As I think about the Doctor falling I truly wonder what this actually means.
The last episodes reintroduces us to John Simm’s Master and they did a great job in the way they reveal him by the way. But then the show ends and that is all we have. Leaving us with this Mondasian Cyberman which is really the revived Bill Potts. Now, I do understand that without this she is dead and will not return, but as a Cyberman. Really, what is going on here. Of course the upcoming episode will sort all things and maybe give us some clarity.
At one point in the trailer we see the Doctor begin to change maybe and then again maybe not. His hand begins to glow as if the change starts. This is something everyone knows is coming, but will it begin at the end of this show and finish in the Christmas Special. Well, we really do not know. What do know and have read is that the next Doctor has already been cast.
So the Doctor falling can mean some different things. From this trailer it looks like he will require the help of Missy and the Master. The master of course has some reservations and ask Missy “why are we helping the Doctor.” So, this trailer builds to an end which maybe we are not expecting. I do know that there are more than just Mondasian Cybermen in this episode and the Doctor is there to save the day. There are some spoilers in the trailer but not so many that we will not come back to watch it. To me, the trailer makes me what to watch it even more.
I can’t wait until this Saturday night for the season finale to end. I am wondering what is going to happen with all this mess we have with Missy, the Master, Cybermen, Bill and the Doctor.
