How would Doctor Who be different if the series with the Eighth Doctor takes place? According to this article by Morgan Jeffery, he writes about a series with Paul McGann as the Doctor. Those fans from that time would love to see Doctor Who on television again in the 1990s. Being a fan since the 1980s, this was a great idea and would be something classic fans love.
If the McGann series takes place, fans would see things more like the classic series, or at least that is the belief of McCoy. The episodes would look more like the classic series, along with many of the same enemies. Classic fans would love that, and most likely would watch the series religiously. Would making episodes like the original series be a problem? Well, the word is that is the reason the McGann series fell through. American females did not like McGann. So, they did not move forward with the series.
Well, it is sad the McGann series did not take place. Fans everywhere were ready for Doctor Who to return, but it is understandable why they did not move forward with it. Producers and showrunners need to present material that people love to watch. The audience includes children, teenagers, ladies, and men.
McCoy said, “the show would have revisiting of the Doctor’s history.” The idea would great to lure new fans and to help older fans relive the Doctor’s life. The is much to learn about the Doctor. Many fans don’t know everything there is because they haven’t seen all the shows. The idea was great, but the series did not happen. The one good thing is Doctor Who did return in 2005. Fans can thank Russel T Davies for the return of Doctor Who. We also know there will be a13th season.
