Comeback
There a some Doctor Who fans who are excited about a comeback of Rose and the Tenth, but to be honest I am not one who is that obsessed with Rose. I think comeback of either is good, but I am just an okay fan of Rose. In this article from the Radio Times, the two explain why they return.
Now, it is always good to see actors return to do Big Finish audiobooks and any other work that involves Doctor Who. That tells me that they love the show and want to make sure that t cares on. The actors seem to show a love for the show after starring on it. But I believe it goes much further than that. As I recall in many cases the actors who play the Doctor actually say it is their dream job.
What we need to understand is that the job is very hard. It like they shoot almost year round for the 12 or 13 stories we get. As a result, the actors only play the lead role for three years. This of course does not mean they won’t return later. Many do return for guest appearances with the Doctor who follows or even two or three actors down the road. This is a part of the show which I love. Of course, as old as the show is the original actors are not all alive, but that does not stop producers from finding others to play them.
I amy or may not get this Big Finish production because I am not a big fan of Rose. But in the end I believe it will be good because it has something to do with Doctor Who. As well as having David Tennant in it as the Tenth Doctor. He is one of my favorites and will enjoy anything which involves him.
